Sat. April 29th, 2023 Homily in Brief.

TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                                There is a common saying; "injustice to one is injustice to all". It's even more true to say that injustice to one is injustice to God, for we're the bearers of God's presence. The treatment we give to others is an expression of our believe in God and the manifestation of our love/hate for God. Our friendship with God comes to light in the way we treat others and our enmity with God shows forth in our inhuman treatment to others. Why are you persecuting God? You can still show by your lifestyle how much a friend or persecutor of God you're. It's never too late. Kindly listen to today's episode of my podcast for details of today's homily.                                 Please follow, subscribe to, like, share and comment on our YouTube channel and Facebook page   @ Eternal Word of Life Ministry-#FadaPeterBenson, our Facebook, Instagram, Blog and Twitter @ FadaPeterBenson and our website @

TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                            Jesus Christ, knowing we all need a guide, promises to ask God the Father send us the Counselor (cf. John 14:16). As God's children,  the need for a godly and God-given guide is inevitable. We need both the Divine Guide; the Holy Spirit, and a human guide; who is a veritable tool in the hand of the Holy Spirit. Who is your guide as you journey through life? Your guide, to a large extent, determines how much you're able to know in truth your destination and how much you're able to get to your destination. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                               Like St. Mark, we've been charged to go into the world and preach the Gospel. By this mandate we're called to go forth working for the salvation of souls, the transformation of the society, and the conversion of all people.  This mandate, when faithfully followed,  bring about the manifestation of great and mighty miracles accompanying our faithful discharge of the Divine mandate. This is made possible only through the life of humility, faith and unreserved self-surrender to God. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                            As stewards and in imitation of Jesus Christ we're called to the service to God and humanity to minister at the table of the sacraments and of the Word as well as serving the needs of God's people. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                                Just as in the case of the early Christian community, true Christian living will always come with different forms of oppositions, persecutions and trials. Nevertheless, in the midst of all these, we must remain resolute and resilient in obeying God rather than succumb to the pressures due to oppositions, persecutions and trials. God will always come through for us, for He's too faithful to fail. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                               We're made members of the kingdom of God in order to advance the course of the kingdom of God. Jesus Christ came not to condenm the world but to give up his life as a ransom in order to save humanity. Once saved by Him, we're given the mandate to live as His witnesses in saving others. Christ Jesus as our Saviour is our model and as the first born son of God He's our guide since through Him we've been made God's own children. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                               The call to discipleship of Christ Jesus demands that one be born again; such a one must be circumcised at heart and not just going through a particular ritual just for the sake of the ceremony. This requires us to become christ-like in our way of life since being born again configures us to the person of Christ, the first born son of God. Consequently, we're henceforth to live as God's children in the imitation of Christ since we're made the children of God by adoption through Jesus Christ. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                                  It's better to obey God than obey men; this was the response of the apostles to the Jewish elders and leaders after being flogged and warned never to preach in the name of Jesus Christ. Beloved child of God, persecutions, afflictions, threats, trials and challenges are opportuned moments to assert and affirm our belief and faith in God. We must, if we truly are the children of God, stand our ground to practise and defend our faith and belief both in good and bad times. Our life of virtue must be in season and out of season.  Kindly listen to today's episode of my podcast for details of today's homily.                                                                                                  Please follow, subscribe to, like, share and comment on our YouTube channel and Facebook page   @ Eternal Word of Life Ministry-#FadaPeterBenson, our Facebook, Instagram, Blog and Twitter @ FadaPeterBenson and our websit

TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                               Jesus Christ is indeed alive and because He lives we can face tomorrow. He is the reason we're alive and in Him we live and move and have our being. If the humiliation, crucifixion and grave did not end the existence of Jesus Christ, whatever you're going through today, no matter how depressing, despairing or humiliating it may be, will not see your end. You'll live to see the end of them all. For God Himself who raised Jesus Christ from the dead will raise up in the glory of the resurrection. Hold unto God in virtue, in faith and in prayers. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                              The realistic realisation of not being on the right path of life usually leads a sober, remorseful and repentant sinner who has resolved not to continue in sin to ask the question: What must I do? The same question generally rises in the heart of the upright who has continually suffered experiences that make him/her feel his/her hope dashed. Whatever the case may be, God always has a guide and counsel for us as regards what we must do to be saved, transformed and enjoy the fullness of the glory of the resurrection. Whatever your story may be, keep your eyes on God, seek to sincerely know what you must do, conscientiously do it and you'll enjoy divine intervention that will change your life narrative for good. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                                Jesus, the Christ, though God, took our human nature in order to save us. In Him, the sinless was made guilty in order to save the sinful and the condemned. He became cursed that we, the accursed, may become the blessed of God. He was rejected by men that we may be accepted by God as God's own children. He, the innocent, was condemned that we, the guilty, may be acquitted of our guilt. He died that we may live and have eternal life. He shared in our pains that we may share in His gain. He dies on the Cross today that we may live forever. Let's go out today and always to adore, through our veneration of Him and by our virtuous way of life, our Lord Jesus Christ who hangs on the Cross bleeding to death for our salvation. For our NINE-DAY-BEGINNING OF THE MONTH INTENSIVE PRAYERS AND NOVENA kindly pray your daily Rosary with Psalms 18, 44, 108 and Matthew 28:1-10 from 1st to 9th April, 2023.                       Kindly li

Thur. April 6th, 2023 Homily in Brief.

TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                             The passover marked literally the end of the stay of the Israelites in Egypt and the beginning of their Exodus out of Egypt. It marked the beginning of the holistic liberation of the Israelites from Egypt; the land of slavery, poverty, hard labour, oppression, afflictions and alienation from God. It marked the beginning of their restoration.  God saves His people with His mighty arm. At the passover meal, Jesus Christ established the new and eternal covenant in His own blood to save and restore humanity; ending pur slavery to sin, the reign of evil, darkness, afflictions and misfortune. Haven made us adopted children of God, He sends us out today to carry on with this mandate of redeeming and restoring our fellow human beings. Get ready! Your salvation, redemption and restoration are at hand. For our NINE-DAY-BEGINNING OF THE MONTH INTENSIVE PRAYERS AND NOVENA kindly pray your daily Rosary with Psalms 18, 44, 108 and Matthew 28:1

TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                            God is faithful, and He will always vindicate the just. He will never watch the upright put to shame. For the children of God, the journey through life may not be without challenges, trials and afflictions, God will always come through for them rather than watch them put to shame. Fear not nor be dismayed. God will never watch you put to shame nor abandon you to defeat if you take refuge in Him in righteousness. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                           In today's Gospel, Jesus tells Judas; "the poor you always have with you, but you do not have me always" (cf. Jn. 12:8). We must always take advantage of every moment of our life to serve God through Jesus Christ and our fellow human beings with the highest level of reverence, devotion, loyalty, submissiveness and love. This is because we may not always have the opportunity to. We must, therefore, eschew any form of excuse capable of deterring us from serving God wholeheartedly; no matter how plausible the excuse may appear to be. For our NINE-DAY-BEGINNING OF THE MONTH INTENSIVE PRAYERS AND NOVENA kindly pray your daily Rosary with Psalms 18, 44, 108 and Matthew 28:1-10 from 1st to 9th April, 2023.                       Kindly listen to today's episode of my podcast for details of today's homily.                                                                                                 Please follow, sub
