TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                              

Like St. Mark, we've been charged to go into the world and preach the Gospel. By this mandate we're called to go forth working for the salvation of souls, the transformation of the society, and the conversion of all people.  This mandate, when faithfully followed,  bring about the manifestation of great and mighty miracles accompanying our faithful discharge of the Divine mandate. This is made possible only through the life of humility, faith and unreserved self-surrender to God.

NEW MONTH'S BLESSINGS FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST

In the Hebrew scriptures (the Old Testament) the number 8 sometimes is used symbolically to represent that which is a surplus or a complete completion of a thing. With the number 7 being the number of completion, perfection or fullness, 8 can be best understood as still part of the whole just greater than the whole. For example, the basket is full of grains, and then there is a surplus...
