TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                                  Just as crops compete with the weeds for soil nutrients and sunlight so too, once the Word of God is planted in us, the enemy plants weeds to compete with and possibly suppress the Word of God so it doesn't bear fruits. Nevertheless, our consistency in living out the Word of God in virtue makes us overcome all forms of opposition of weeds aimed at suppressing, suffocating and terminating the Word of God in our life, thereby aborting the life of virtue in and around us. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                             Though we continuously sin and provoke God to anger, His mercy is greater than the sins of the whole world put together, and this mercy of His endures forever. This explains why God would prefer forgiving our sins rather than punish us when He sees us truly repented of our sins and with genuine remorsefulness we come to Him to seek forgiveness and the grace not to sin again. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                              "Many are the trials of the righteous, but the Lord delivers them from all of them." (Psalm 34:19). We're presented today with the conspiracy against Jesus Christ, but given that Jesus Christ is a righteous person and on a righteous course, God did not only deliver Him from all His trials but gave Him victory. Keep firm in righteousness, virtue, faithfulness and your quest for perfection. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                               God does not take pleasure in the death of the sinner but that he may repent and have life. This is because God is slow to anger and abounding in love. God is tender, compassionate, and merciful. Take courage, dear of God, and approach the throne of God's mercy and compassion that He may show you mercy and bless you. More so, God invites us to participate in dispersing His mercy, love, compassion, and blessings. We are called to stand in the gap to intercede for our generation and draw them nearer to God and God nearer to them. Unfortunately, when our relationship with God is benefit-based and benefit-oriented, we're left torn away from God and attached only to His blessings/benefits. God raises men in mysterious ways. He raises the poor from the dirt and takes the helpless from the ashes (cf. 2 Sam. 2:8; Psalms. 113:7). Today, God is inviting us to help build up one another rather than destroy one another as He will always turn the rejected stone into the cornerstone. No matter how tough and rough life has been for you, keep firm in serving God in Spirit and truth, He'll show up for you in the neak of time and your story will change for good. As we journey through life, we are bound to experience all sorts of circumstances; some pleasant, some not too pleasant, others not too desirable and yet others extremely painful. In the midst of all these, there is always a goal or a target to be actualized. The ability to stay focused on the goal will obviously help one to manage life circumstances in such a manner that they all work to help and facilitate the actualisation of the set goal. You're a being on a mission with a goal and a purpose to actualise. No matter what comes your way as you journey through life, stay focused on your goal and the purpose of your existence. Genuine conversion and a true life of virtue that culminates in a healthy, godly and kind relationship with our fellow human beings give us access to enjoying the fulness of God's  blessings in the land.
