TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                               

Just as in the case of the early Christian community, true Christian living will always come with different forms of oppositions, persecutions and trials. Nevertheless, in the midst of all these, we must remain resolute and resilient in obeying God rather than succumb to the pressures due to oppositions, persecutions and trials. God will always come through for us, for He's too faithful to fail.

NEW MONTH'S BLESSINGS FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST

In the Hebrew scriptures (the Old Testament) the number 8 sometimes is used symbolically to represent that which is a surplus or a complete completion of a thing. With the number 7 being the number of completion, perfection or fullness, 8 can be best understood as still part of the whole just greater than the whole. For example, the basket is full of grains, and then there is a surplus...
