TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                         Jesus Christ describes His generation as an evil generation on account of their refusal to repent from their sins and turn to God in genuine conversion. They were rather interested in seeking signs. Our generation, I'm afraid, is, in this regard, very much like the generation of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ, therefore, challenges us today to sincerely turn away from sin, and embrace the life of true righteousness built on genuine conversion. For our NINE-DAY-BEGINNING OF THE MONTH INTENSIVE PRAYERS AND NOVENA kindly pray your daily Rosary with Jonah 3:1-10;  Psalms 32, 41 and 121 from 1st to 9th March, 2023.         Kindly listen to today's episode of my podcast for details of today's homily.                                                                                          Please follow, subscribe to, like, share and comment on our YouTube channel and Facebook page   @ Eternal Word of Life Ministry-#FadaPeterBenson,

TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                          Greed and selfishness are indicative of lack of faith in Divine Province, just as contentment demonstrates faith in God and in His ability to look after us. Jesus Christ teaches us today to ask and trust God for our daily bread. This will help us stay contented, fulfilled, and free from many sinful inclinations and tendencies. The desire to acquire and hoard resources for decades and centuries in the quest to secure our future all by ourselves and outside of God leaves us greatly vulnerable to sin and vices. Be contented with asking God each day for your daily bread and trust Him for same. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                            Whatever a person sows is what he/she shall reap. Today we're reminded that there shall always be a moment of reckoning; a time that each gets the appropriate rewards for his/her actions, inactions and words. As we continue with the electioneering process, God warns us today not to neglect to do that which is right, lawful and just. This is because the Nigerian people will judge each of us for what we've done or failed to do and will come at us on the day of reckoning. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                           In the history of every human person or institution or nation, there is always a history-changing and history-making moment; a moment that comes with a paradigm shift. Now is the moment to do away with the yoke that has dominated your life before now for God Himself has chosen to visit you and do away with the yoke provided we accept to turn away from our sinful and wicked ways of life and embrace the life of righteousness in Christ Jesus.  Kindly listen to today's episode of my podcast for details of today's homily.                                                                                                         Please follow, subscribe to, like, share and comment on our YouTube channel and Facebook page   @ Eternal Word of Life Ministry-#FadaPeterBenson, our Facebook, Instagram, Blog and Twitter @ FadaPeterBenson and our website @ https://ewlm.org.

TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                              St. Augustine says that "our heart is restless until it rests in God." At Ash Wednesday God invites us to a life of rest, peace and fulfilment through reconciliation with Him. The flesh is but dust and shall certainly return to dust. The soul, which is the life force animating the body/flesh, shall return to God at the end of our earthly life. It's only when we're truly reconciled with God and live in full communion with Him that we find the peace, rest and fulfilment that we seek. Therefore, be reconciled to God, for this is the moment of salvation. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                          Without faith it is impossible to please God. Faith cannot be nourished and sustained without the Word of God which is the source of faith. This is because faith comes by hearing, and hearing through the Word of God (cf. Rom. 10:17). It's therefore the life lived in faith and guided by the Word of God that leads to true Wisdom. This is what brings order to our disordered world, justice to our world of injustice, healing to our sick world, light to our darkened world, love to a world torn apart by hate and peace to our world of chaos and anarchy. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                          Indeed, without faith, it's impossible to please God. On the other hand, with faith it's not only possible to please God, it's possible to stay pleased in God. The faith we profess should birth a behavioural change in us that makes us more pleasing in the sight of God and more pleased living in God. The Christian faith does not call for passivity but faith-based activity-oriented way of life. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                         God raises for himself and humanity a remnant from Noah after the great flood. Similarly, Jesus calls us out of the village of unbelief, doubt and sins to give us sight; the sight of the life lived in the beauty of the glory of God and the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit. If we allow Jesus Christ to lead us we're sure of being led out of our doom, afflictions, misfortunes, despair, divided world and calamity into a glorious life characterised by peace, wellness, justice and progress. Let Jesus lead and enjoy the beauty God intends for you and the world. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                           Many children of God today are suffering under different forms of veils that keep them away from experiencing the fullness of God's blessings for them or experiencing the full manifestation of their potentials. The worst of these veils is ignorance of the will of God. The removal of such veils frees us from any form of impairment and ailment that keeps us less than what God has destined us to be. May you experience the Divine touch of Jesus Christ and hear today the same command of Jesus Christ; EPHPHATHA, BE OPENED.  Kindly listen to today's episode of my podcast for details of today's homily.                                                                                             Please follow, subscribe to, like, share and comment on our YouTube channel and Facebook page   @ Eternal Word of Life Ministry-#FadaPeterBenson, our Facebook, Instagram, Blog and Twitter @ FadaPeterBenson and our website @ https://ewlm.or

Wed. Feb. 8th, 2023 Homily in Brief.

TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                          We, as human beings, are finite beings and as such we're called to adopt the life of humility and readily submission, acceptance and carrying out the will of God. We're also divine to the extent that we share in the nature and essence of God. Though formed from dust, we draw our essence and existence from God. To this effect, we must use our human will and freedom in such a way and manner that we keep close to God and His holy will so we don't loose our companionship and communion with God. This we do by allowing ourselves to be guided by the will of God even while making use of our will and freedom in our daily choices. For our NINE-DAY-BEGINNING OF THE MONTH INTENSIVE PRAYERS AND NOVENA kindly pray your daily Rosary with Psalms 31, 54, 94, 1 Chronicles 4: 9-10 and Isaiah 60:1-22 from 1st to 9th February, 2023.         Kindly listen to today's episode of my podcast for details of today's homily.

TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                            "But when the time had fully come, God sent His Son, born of a woman, born under law, to redeem those under law, that we may receive full rights of sons [and daughters of God]." (GAL. 4:4-5). Indeed, Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the world and the source of life, ordered world and peace, is constantly in our midst to change our world for good. Unfortunately, many hardly give Him the chance to because they fail to recognise in Him their Saviour. The people of Gennesaret did and  their situations changed for the better. TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                          Today the Creator condescends to meet His creatures. God Himself comes to His people; a people He had always searched for. He comes not to condemn them but to offer them His mercy, love and compassion. He comes to fill the emptiness of His people, to fulfil their hope and to redeem them from their lifelong enemies. In today's feast Jesus Christ comes to us as the Light that darkness couldn't overcome nor comprehend to dispel the darkness in our lives, our families, our communities, our religious institututions, and our world. Let open the gates that the King of Glory and the Light of the world may enter in.
