TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                              

Jesus Christ is indeed alive and because He lives we can face tomorrow. He is the reason we're alive and in Him we live and move and have our being. If the humiliation, crucifixion and grave did not end the existence of Jesus Christ, whatever you're going through today, no matter how depressing, despairing or humiliating it may be, will not see your end. You'll live to see the end of them all. For God Himself who raised Jesus Christ from the dead will raise up in the glory of the resurrection. Hold unto God in virtue, in faith and in prayers.

NEW MONTH'S BLESSINGS FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST

In the Hebrew scriptures (the Old Testament) the number 8 sometimes is used symbolically to represent that which is a surplus or a complete completion of a thing. With the number 7 being the number of completion, perfection or fullness, 8 can be best understood as still part of the whole just greater than the whole. For example, the basket is full of grains, and then there is a surplus...
