TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                            

Every realistic personal encounter with God draws us closer to God and makes us better children of God. Unfortunately, when our relationship with God is benefit-based and benefit-oriented, we're left torn away from God and attached only to His blessings/benefits. God is not just our benefactor and we, His beneficiaries. On the contrary, God is fundamentally our Lover and our Father and we, His Beloved and Children. Seeking God in the sincerity of heart will bond us truly to/with Him. At this point, we're able to worship Him in spirit and truth thereby gaining constant access to His Divine presence and His blessings.

NEW MONTH'S BLESSINGS FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST

In the Hebrew scriptures (the Old Testament) the number 8 sometimes is used symbolically to represent that which is a surplus or a complete completion of a thing. With the number 7 being the number of completion, perfection or fullness, 8 can be best understood as still part of the whole just greater than the whole. For example, the basket is full of grains, and then there is a surplus...
