TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                              

God does not take pleasure in the death of the sinner but that he may repent and have life. This is because God is slow to anger and abounding in love. God is tender, compassionate, and merciful. Take courage, dear of God, and approach the throne of God's mercy and compassion that He may show you mercy and bless you. More so, God invites us to participate in dispersing His mercy, love, compassion, and blessings. We are called to stand in the gap to intercede for our generation and draw them nearer to God and God nearer to them.

NEW MONTH'S BLESSINGS FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST

In the Hebrew scriptures (the Old Testament) the number 8 sometimes is used symbolically to represent that which is a surplus or a complete completion of a thing. With the number 7 being the number of completion, perfection or fullness, 8 can be best understood as still part of the whole just greater than the whole. For example, the basket is full of grains, and then there is a surplus...
