TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                          

The statement "obedience is better than sacrifice" shows how much God desires unreserved obedience from us. Genuine conversion and a true life of virtue that culminates in a healthy, godly and kind relationship with our fellow human beings give us access to enjoying the fulness of God's  blessings in the land. Hence, we're invited today to turn away from sin, learn to do good and then enjoy the blessings of God.

For our NINE-DAY-BEGINNING OF THE MONTH INTENSIVE PRAYERS AND NOVENA kindly pray your daily Rosary with Jonah 3:1-10;  Psalms 32, 41 and 121 from 1st to 9th March, 2023.

NEW MONTH'S BLESSINGS FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST

In the Hebrew scriptures (the Old Testament) the number 8 sometimes is used symbolically to represent that which is a surplus or a complete completion of a thing. With the number 7 being the number of completion, perfection or fullness, 8 can be best understood as still part of the whole just greater than the whole. For example, the basket is full of grains, and then there is a surplus...
