TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                        

God raises for himself and humanity a remnant from Noah after the great flood. Similarly, Jesus calls us out of the village of unbelief, doubt and sins to give us sight; the sight of the life lived in the beauty of the glory of God and the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit. If we allow Jesus Christ to lead us we're sure of being led out of our doom, afflictions, misfortunes, despair, divided world and calamity into a glorious life characterised by peace, wellness, justice and progress. Let Jesus lead and enjoy the beauty God intends for you and the world.

NEW MONTH'S BLESSINGS FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST

In the Hebrew scriptures (the Old Testament) the number 8 sometimes is used symbolically to represent that which is a surplus or a complete completion of a thing. With the number 7 being the number of completion, perfection or fullness, 8 can be best understood as still part of the whole just greater than the whole. For example, the basket is full of grains, and then there is a surplus...
