TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.

Just as it's literally impossible to break a bundle of broom but the individual sticks of the brooms that make up the bundle can all be broken one by one within seconds, so too when united in God we can hardly be broken but always succeed. Division would only bring about our downfall and failure in our Christian calling. No divided group makes significant positive impacts in human society. As the children of God, we must stand united always in the Holy Spirit.

NEW MONTH'S BLESSINGS FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST

In the Hebrew scriptures (the Old Testament) the number 8 sometimes is used symbolically to represent that which is a surplus or a complete completion of a thing. With the number 7 being the number of completion, perfection or fullness, 8 can be best understood as still part of the whole just greater than the whole. For example, the basket is full of grains, and then there is a surplus...
