TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.

Like Bartimaeus, many of us; as individuals, families, communities, nations, races and even our entire generation may be feeling so helpless and desperately in need of God's helpless, given the unhealthy circumstances prevalent around us and in our life today. Nevertheless, we're not to despair nor get overwhelmed by challenges for our help shall come from the Lord God, the maker of heaven and earth. It's in the light of this uncontestable fact that we can now cry out to God in the words of Bartimaeus "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on us" for the help of man has failed us. May God's help not fail you.

For our NINE-DAY-BEGINNING OF THE MONTH INTENSIVE PRAYERS AND NOVENA kindly pray your daily Rosary with Psalms 125, 126, 147 and Isaiah 40:26-31 from 1st to 9th June, 2023.

NEW MONTH'S BLESSINGS FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST

In the Hebrew scriptures (the Old Testament) the number 8 sometimes is used symbolically to represent that which is a surplus or a complete completion of a thing. With the number 7 being the number of completion, perfection or fullness, 8 can be best understood as still part of the whole just greater than the whole. For example, the basket is full of grains, and then there is a surplus...
