TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                            

Persevere in good works always for you shall be remembered by what you have done. God would not be so unjust as to forget all you have done, the love that you have for his name or the services you have done, and are still doing, for others. To be able to persevere in good works, however, you must develop a last trust and faith in God, for He is able and willing to take care of you no matter what comes your way.

NEW MONTH'S BLESSINGS FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST

In the Hebrew scriptures (the Old Testament) the number 8 sometimes is used symbolically to represent that which is a surplus or a complete completion of a thing. With the number 7 being the number of completion, perfection or fullness, 8 can be best understood as still part of the whole just greater than the whole. For example, the basket is full of grains, and then there is a surplus...
