TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                          

Upon being asked this question; "who are you?", John the Baptist declared in clear terms his true identity even when he had the opportunity of usurping the glory of the Christ. Many are living a miserable and unfulfilled life today because they are either unaware of their true identity or fail to accept themselves for whom they are or both. Know yourself and accept yourself in God and you'll find peace with yourself, fulfilment in life and happiness in God. 

For our NINE-DAY-BEGINNING OF THE MONTH INTENSIVE PRAYERS AND NOVENA kindly pray your daily Rosary with Numbers 6:22-27; Deuteronomy 20:1-4; Psalms 118, 129 and 141 from 1st to 9th January, 2023.

TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                              The realistic realisation of not being on the right path of life usually leads a sober, remorseful and repentant sinner who has resolved not to continue in sin to ask the question: What must I do? The same question generally rises in the heart of the upright who has continually suffered experiences that make him/her feel his/her hope dashed. Whatever the case may be, God always has a guide and counsel for us as regards what we must do to be saved, transformed and enjoy the fullness of the glory of the resurrection. Whatever your story may be, keep your eyes on God, seek to sincerely know what you must do, conscientiously do it and you'll enjoy divine intervention that will change your life narrative for good. THE TROUBLER OF ISRAEL

1 Kings 18:16-40 records the battle between Proghet Elijah and four hundred and fifty prophets of Baal in a bid to establish whose God is supreme over the universe.  Upon proving the supremacy of the God of Elijah over the universe, the prophets of Baal were excuted. In this passage of the Bible, particularly in 1 Kings 18:17-18, King Ahab accused Prophet Elijah to be the TROUBLER of Israel but Prophet Elijah immediately and authoritatively pointed him, Ahab, out as the ACTUAL TROUBLER of Israel. Just like Prophet Elijah, the ACCUSED/ASSUMED/PRESUMED/UNJUSTLY DECLARED AND PROSECUTED TROUBLERS of our society of today (traditional, civil, religious, academic, professional, political, etc... societies) are the true and vocal voices that challenge the ills, evils, injustices, unjust systems/structure/policies/laws etc of our time.
