TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                         

Dearest friends, God declares an end to your afflictions and an end to your season of weeping today. Indeed, God is more than faithful to fail. He fulfils His promises with certitude. Nevertheless, this He does on His own terms not ours. Hence, we need faith and the understanding that comes from the Holy Spirit to experience the fulfilment of God's promises.

NEW MONTH'S BLESSINGS FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST

In the Hebrew scriptures (the Old Testament) the number 8 sometimes is used symbolically to represent that which is a surplus or a complete completion of a thing. With the number 7 being the number of completion, perfection or fullness, 8 can be best understood as still part of the whole just greater than the whole. For example, the basket is full of grains, and then there is a surplus...
