TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                           

Unhappiness and misery are not necessarily indicative of a righteous life just as wealth, comfort and pleasure are not particularly signs of ungodliness. In fact, God did not create us for suffering but for a happy and fulfilled life. This is only attainable through a life truly dedicated to and moderated by God. Therefore, be holy and enjoy life.

NEW MONTH'S BLESSINGS FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST

In the Hebrew scriptures (the Old Testament) the number 8 sometimes is used symbolically to represent that which is a surplus or a complete completion of a thing. With the number 7 being the number of completion, perfection or fullness, 8 can be best understood as still part of the whole just greater than the whole. For example, the basket is full of grains, and then there is a surplus...
