TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                        

Today God calls us to serve as midwife to facilitate the birthing of a new nation, a new society and a new world. This we do by allowing a new birthing in each of us; a birthing that brings to be a new you that agrees with whom God has destined you to be, a person of virtue and integrity.

NEW MONTH'S BLESSINGS FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST

In the Hebrew scriptures (the Old Testament) the number 8 sometimes is used symbolically to represent that which is a surplus or a complete completion of a thing. With the number 7 being the number of completion, perfection or fullness, 8 can be best understood as still part of the whole just greater than the whole. For example, the basket is full of grains, and then there is a surplus...
