TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                        

After over four hundred years of the Jews waiting expectantly for coming of the promised Messiah, the Blessed Virgin Mary's birth marked the beginning of the fulfilment of this Divine promise. Mary's birth and her subsequent cooperation with the will of God gave rise, in a sense, to human salvation. Are you a contributing factor to the manifestation of God's salvation in the life of others?

NEW MONTH'S BLESSINGS FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST

In the Hebrew scriptures (the Old Testament) the number 8 sometimes is used symbolically to represent that which is a surplus or a complete completion of a thing. With the number 7 being the number of completion, perfection or fullness, 8 can be best understood as still part of the whole just greater than the whole. For example, the basket is full of grains, and then there is a surplus...
