TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.

Just like Jesus Christ did, our perseverance in doing the will of God even amidst persecutions amounts to glorifying God and God in turn glorifies His own by virtue of their perseverance. The power and authority we enjoy from God are given to be employed in the service of God and our fellow human beings in view of the integral and holistic salvation of all. Amidst all, stay faithful in virtue and God Himself will glorify You.

NEW MONTH'S BLESSINGS FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST

In the Hebrew scriptures (the Old Testament) the number 8 sometimes is used symbolically to represent that which is a surplus or a complete completion of a thing. With the number 7 being the number of completion, perfection or fullness, 8 can be best understood as still part of the whole just greater than the whole. For example, the basket is full of grains, and then there is a surplus...
