TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                          

Nothing good comes easy they say. The Christian faith was birthed at a price and transmitted to us across the ages at a cost. Jesus Christ paid the ultimate price in His most precious blood and so did the martyrs. If we must preserve and pass on to the next generation a Christian faith that is undiluted, uncompromising, resilient and persevering, we must be prepared to pay the price. Are you ready to pay the price?

NEW MONTH'S BLESSINGS FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST

In the Hebrew scriptures (the Old Testament) the number 8 sometimes is used symbolically to represent that which is a surplus or a complete completion of a thing. With the number 7 being the number of completion, perfection or fullness, 8 can be best understood as still part of the whole just greater than the whole. For example, the basket is full of grains, and then there is a surplus...
