TODAY'S HOMILY IN BRIEF.                        

Desperation only leads to frustration, depression and despair. Stay focused on God, stand firm in faith and persist in virtue. Certainly trials and challenges will come but victory is guaranteed in Jesus Christ. Let not your heart be troubled but remain vigilant in faith, prayers and virtue. Your life story is changing for good even as you stay connected to God in Jesus Christ.

NEW MONTH'S BLESSINGS FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST

In the Hebrew scriptures (the Old Testament) the number 8 sometimes is used symbolically to represent that which is a surplus or a complete completion of a thing. With the number 7 being the number of completion, perfection or fullness, 8 can be best understood as still part of the whole just greater than the whole. For example, the basket is full of grains, and then there is a surplus...
