In our present day society many are gradually becoming more like machines in their utilitarian-driven lifestyle with little or no feelings for their fellow human beings. On the other hand, even many more are gradually becoming beasts in their inordinate and unguided quest for comfort and pleasure. The resultant effects are obvious in our society today. Only Christocentric love and compassion can heal our world of today.

NEW MONTH'S BLESSINGS FOR THE MONTH OF AUGUST

In the Hebrew scriptures (the Old Testament) the number 8 sometimes is used symbolically to represent that which is a surplus or a complete completion of a thing. With the number 7 being the number of completion, perfection or fullness, 8 can be best understood as still part of the whole just greater than the whole. For example, the basket is full of grains, and then there is a surplus...
